Re: Binary Outcomes in GAMLJ3 - No way to pick reference group

Oh interesting. And now that you say it, that makes sense given it treats that variable as nominal (and so doesn't assume anything about the 1/0 label). That definitely is it -- thank you so much for looking into it.

Re: Binary Outcomes in GAMLJ3 - No way to pick reference group

Right -- as I said in my post, it's not doing that. I run a model with 1 and 0 as my outcome, and I get the following: Model Type Logistic Model Model for binary y Model lme4::glmer Outcome ~ 1 + Credible_PL + ( 1 | Case ) Distribution Binomial Dichotomous event distribution of y Link function Logit...

Binary Outcomes in GAMLJ3 - No way to pick reference group

I've been doing some work with generalized linear models (in the GAMLJ3 module). I noticed that the module seems to pick the reference group for a binary outcome using some method that is impossible to change, and somehow persists even when recoding the variables. For example, in a DV of 1s and 0s, ...

GAMLj Feature Request: Simple Interaction Effects

One of the last things that seems to be missing for me (and for teaching basic stats with Jamovi/GAMLj) occurs when breaking down interaction effects when, for example, conducting a three-way ANOVA in GAMLj. While the module allows for simple main effects, and simple-simple main effects, there does ...

Bug? Plots use Sci Notation regardless of Num Format setting

Not sure if this is a bug or just not implemented. I have the number format set to show decimal places instead of scientific notation. That works in all tables, but not in plots/figures, which still show scientific notation. I like a lot of jamovi's figures and I use them in reports and presentation...

Re: Weighting

I think there is a market for this. Not all the time, but in some kinds of work that I do (experiments), I might have effects that depend on demographic factors. There's increasingly a use for being able to deferentially weight various demographic variables to correspond to the precise demographic m...

Re: Dark Mode / High Contrast

In windows you can trigger a color inversion (Settings->Accessibility->Color Filters) that will invert the colors on the entire screen. This will change Jamovi to be dark with light lettering (and I think it actually looks quite nice). This of course might conflict with a dark theme and make the res...

Supporting Jamovi

Hi all -- I would love to be able to help convince my university to support Jamovi, but as a public institution, we simply can't "donate" or just hand over money. Like many other companies have done with open source software, we would need some sort of tangible thing (like a support contra...
