Processing time b/w jamovi and SPSS
Is there any data out there establishing the relative speed (processing time) of jamovi compared to SPSS, in terms of processing very large datasets, for example?
Thx for any info you can share.

What can jamovi do that SPSS cannot?
Hi. Quick question...Someone recently asked me which statistical techniques jamovi has that SPSS does not. Are there any examples off the top of your collective heads? One example that comes to my mind is the add-on for the one-sample z-test (ztestvis). Are there other examples, particularly example...

Re: Published research on jamovi?
Yes, that's a good article! It provides a very favorable comparative review of jamovi.
But if anyone out there is familiar with published research (or a conference presentation) reporting outcome data demonstrating jamovi's effectiveness as a tool for teaching statistics, please let me know.

Re: Rj Editor vs. Rj Editor+
Ah, I see. So, beyond the general difference in user experience, Rj+ is able to do some things Rj cannot.
Thanks for providing an example, Maurizio. Do you foresee the need for both Rj and Rj+ in the future, or will one prevail and be the only option?
Thx.

Rj Editor vs. Rj Editor+
Is there a simple explanation of the difference between Rj Editor and Rj Editor+?
Why is there a need for both options?
Thx.

Published research on jamovi?
Hi everyone. I'm working on an article, and I'm trying to find any published empirical research on jamovi as a teaching tool. The research I'm interested in typically comes in one of two flavors. One tests if students enjoy various aspects of the software, if they feel they've learned from using the...

Re: RJ Editor not working w/system R option
Thanks for the link, Maurizio. I appreciate it. I'll read through the thread and see if it helps, but based on what you wrote, it sounds like the issue is still unresolved. I was not aware of using github to report this kind of problem. I thought a jamovi.org forum called "Help" seemed lik...

Re: effect size for One-Way ANOVA?
I hear ya. It would be nice to have an effect size option from the one-way ANOVA menu. That said, a one-way analysis using the ANOVA menu provides the same results, a more detailed summary table, and options for effect size.
