Stata import offers to open SAS binary files

Hi All, I thought jamovi was supposed to read sas binary files since under File> Open> Stata, that extension is offered. My eyes locked onto the extension and I didn't notice that it was for Stata. You probably know this but just in case: Trying it crashing Python, then jamovi itself. I've attached ...

Re: Compatability with R's with() function

Wow, that is freaky! I thought I knew a fair amount about with(), but I don't know why that's not giving you a list of the variables as will happen using: > with(ToothGrowth, ls()) [1] "dose" "len" "supp" I've tried every variation I can think of in creating a function ...

Re: Calculator Options

Yeah, it's really just their conditional setup that really shines. When I have to show someone a set of nested ifelse statements in R, their head explodes (unless they were already a decent programmer). Here's the example I usually start with since all instructors can relate. With JMP, it's a single...

Calculator Options

The JMP formula editor is a user interface masterpiece. It might provide some useful ideas as you expand jamovi's capabilities. As you can see from this 3-minute video, the basics are not all that different from jamovi now. It’s just additional eye-candy: https://youtu.be/HZCZ9b9WYUI. Where it reall...

Auto-updates

It would be nice if there were an auto-update feature that would check at start-up for new versions of installed modules, and optionally install them. Currently they're marked as new on the module drop-down, which is helpful. But it would be nice to be notified. With the planned server version, it w...
