Re: Choosing Correlated vs Uncorrelated Factors CFA in Jamov

Hi Debbie, Confirmatory factor analysis does not use any form of rotation. Rotation is used in exploratory factor analysis (and PCA) to find structure in your data. However, in a confirmatory factor analysis you base this structure on theory, so you actually define the model yourself and don't use r...

Re: Advanced contrasts options

This was probably due to the default contrast being a simple contrast (fixing the intercept to the grand mean). However, in the latest version we let it default to a dummy contrast (fixing the intercept to the reference level) which is also the default in R and SPSS. So give it another try with the ...

Re: [SOLVED] 'data' or 'params' argument is needed

So I found the cause of the issue: there's a trailing space after the Niveau variable. If you remove that space it works fine again. Of course, this still shouldn't result in an error, so I'll look into a fix for this problem. Thanks for reporting!

Re: Problems opening omv data - reliability

Hi, about the reliability analysis issue, so the sd for scale is the standard deviation of the total score and the mean of the scale is indeed formed by averaging the items. We return the same values as the psych R package returns. I'm not completely sure what you are looking for though... Cheers, R...

Yup, definitely something we need to add.

Re: Multiple Linear Regression

No, you should use binomial logistic regression for that (which is also available in jamovi).

Re: Omega squared (ω2) is wrong.

So I think this has to do with how JASP calculates the total sum of squares. We used to calculate the total sum of squares in the same way as JASP (i.e., add the SS of all terms belonging to an individual error term together + the SS of the residual), but somebody sent us an email telling us that th...

Re: Discriminant and cluster analysis

HI,
Yeah, I started working on a k-means cluster module recently. However, at the moment there's no way to add the cluster groups to the spreadsheet making the analysis not very useful. Once we've implemented adding analyses data to the spreadsheet, I'll start working on it again.

Cheers,
Ravi

Re: Effect sizes + confidence intervals for ANOVA posthoc ef

Hi Gilad,

Could you make an issue for this on our github: https://github.com/jamovi/jamovi/issues. I can definitely see the use-case for this feature, but unfortunately our time is also limited so have to see how quickly we can implement it.

Cheers,
Ravi
