odds ratio: calculation unclear

Hi, I am looking at the hypothesis, that there is a difference between gender and group membership to "hxTypAchiever". It looks like this: https://team-noehring.de/extern/error/jamovi/odds_ratio_unclear.png The problem (for me) is, that I assumed, that the probability to belong to the hxAc...

Feature Req: Option so have filter BY analysis

Hi, I stumbled upon a problem. Testing for differences in gender, I wanted to limit a certain analysis to use only male and female (not divers , not no answer ). I did not find a way except to define a filter and exclude rows with that gender. Of course, this is no problem, but this also results in ...

Re: (SOLVED) / Request: Sort of nominal data in frequency ta

Hi Jonathon, I decided to post in the thread again, as I think it's still somehow the same issue. In an analysis I notice, that the order if actually in the order of the occurence in the (calculated) column. I suggest, that it is possible for the user to choose the sort order of the analysis: alphab...

Re: How? Merge text columns, add seperator

Hi Maurizio,

thank you for your answer. I am looking forward to new possibilities of jamovi and I was very pleased to see, that - with some extra columns it's already possible to achieve such things.

Stay healthy

Re: How? Merge text columns, add seperator

Hi, I want to report, that I succesfully managed combining the columns with tools already available in jamovi. My setup: 5 columns, at least one of each contains something. I added 5 transformed colums which test, if in the corresponding original column is a value. If there is a value I set this col...

Re: How? Merge text columns, add seperator

Hi Maurizio, that was a wonderful explanation with the different options I have. Thank you for taking your time and teaching me. It works well and I used the possibility to choose which columns I want # or using the name of the variables Mydf <- data [c ("A", "B", "C", ...

Re: SOLVED: How can I remove levels from nominal values?

Hi Jonathan,

thanks for your reply. Yes, it's my data - but then all possible levels should have codes. I think they might not be imported properly (I send you a mail with two files where I think this can be reproduced).

Re: SOLVED: How can I remove levels from nominal values?

Hi, from my understanding, for ordinal scaled variables one can say this is better than that, or this comes before that. For nominal this is not the case. One can not say male is better than female. If I just have text that I want to be sorted alphabetically I do not need levels (and it might turn o...
