Re: Repeated measures ANOVA Posthoc ES
There is controversy as to whether it is correct or not. On grounds that the ANOVA assumes equal variances, some stats programs use the same pooled error term for each test in the set of post hoc tests. In such a situation, individual t tests would usually not produce the same result as ANOVA post h...

Re: Repeated measures ANOVA Posthoc ES
Personally, I would use the ANOVA posthocs output table to hand-calculate each Cohen's d effect size. Specifically, I would convert each 'SE of differences' to an 'SD of differences' by by multiplying the 'SE of differences' by the square root of the number of differences. I would then divide each m...

Re: Excluding multiple rows with one filter
Here's another example. It filters-out Row 2 ad Rows 5 through 7.
Code: Select all
not(ROW()==2) and not(ROW()>= 5 and ROW()<=7)

Re: Excluding multiple rows with one filter
To add to the examples provided earlier in this thread, the following filters-out Rows 2, 5, and 7:
ROW()!=2 and ROW()!=5 and ROW()!=7
ROW()!=2 and ROW()!=5 and ROW()!=7

Re: Validity, reliability and repeatability
Hi. Judging from the details of your question, I don't think it's a simple matter of what test to do, or whether jamovi can do such a test. Rathe, your question pertains to the fundamental meanings and applications of the statistical terms, "reliability," "validity," and "re...

Re: Could "continuous" be replaced with another word?
Maybe follow SPSS's lead. Instead of calling it a "continuous," or "ratio/interval" (or "rinterval") scale, SPSS calls it a "scale" scale. LOL.

Re: small feature suggestions for ANOVAs (Ns and eff size)
Inclusion of the Ns is a good idea. But what statistic did you have in mind as an index of the effect size for a oneway Welch's (i.e., unequal-variance) ANOVA?

Re: [RESOLVED] Normality assumption
FYI. I see that if the t test is conducted on Z scores (standardized separately for each of the two means), the Shapiro-Wilk output is correct and is not impacted by unequal variances. I think that the algorithm should be adjusted so that, in the context of a t test, Shapiro-Wilk is conducted on the...

Re: Seeking Advice on Statistical Analysis Utilizing Fisher's Exact Test
Yes, so regarding "they consistently utilized the chi-square value, even when calculated through Fisher's exact test (marked as a red square). However, the jamovi software does not directly calculate Fisher's test (marked as a green square)." . . . . . . jamovi does "directly" ca...
