Re: Beginners question ; computing multiplication
The compute function should work easily enough. Perhaps there is something about the name of your variable - does it have a gap? If so, you'll need to make use of the 'back ticks' if typing this manually (or just double click the variable names from the list in the compute function to do this automa...

Re: ่jamovi warning ""this analysis has terminated, likely due to hitting a resource limit"
I've had a similar issue in the past - notably when trying to run a repeated measures analysis with 1500 participants - but this was on the cloud version of jamovi, not the desktop installation. Might be a similar cause?

Re: this may be simple but . .
You'll probably find that the issue stems from you trying to filter out "self" and not "Self".... Mind you, I've never been a fan of 'text-based' variables - they tend to create more issues than they solve. If you replace the names with integers (so that Self = 1 etc...), then us...

Re: Percentages?
I just tried this and it seems to work:
ROUND(($source/VSUM(A)*100), 1)
ROUND(($source/VSUM(A)*100), 1)

Re: Percentages?
I did it via the transform function: $source/VSUM(A)*100
$source = column A (which contains all your values on separate rows)
VSUM(A)= sum of variable A
$source = column A (which contains all your values on separate rows)
VSUM(A)= sum of variable A

Re: Missing values
SUM() supports this too Screenshot 2022-11-15 at 08.33.08.png
I started using this a while back, but you need to remember that the sum scores created here may not be comparable to others as they will be based on different numbers of trials/items included in the s...

Re: Cohen's d for T test paired samples
The equation for the paired t-test assesses whether the mean difference across all the pairs of scores is significant, so would it not be possible to argue that the SD of these differences is more useful than the pooled SD of the respective conditions? I would think the (pooled) SD for both conditio...

Do you get the same issue if you export the data into another file format?

Re: Cohen's d for T test paired samples
There are multiple ways to generate Cohen's d measures [as I recall DeShon & Morris (2008?) suggested factoring in the correlation between the two variables] and as such not everyone will agree with what the final equation used will be. I guess an important caveat is that these are only estimate...

Re: Simple Question!
So I used a simple filter (IFMISS(2id, 0, 1) to use the ID as a way to select only participants with data. This worked. However, the SCOFFTOTAL vs 2SCOFFTOTAL analysis is still coming up as NaN. I did a quick check of the descriptives of these variables and they were identical. I then subtracted one...
