Hello all,
I am teaching an introductory course on statistics with Jamovi for the first time. I was just wondering how complicated it would be to have the option of transposing the descriptive statistics table?
I ask as when we present summary data we usually have the variables as rows and the statistics in columns. I can work around by pasting into Excel, cleaning up the cells and transposing to later paste into Word. but a quick copy and paste from Jamovi would be much nicer.
Transpose Descriptives Statistics
Re: Transpose Descriptives Statistics
Hi, @dsiddons.
It is reported in the Release notes
1.8.1 - APRIL 19, 2021
Descriptives - Added the option to transpose descriptives table
General improvements and bug-fixes
To save work, it is worth checking the versions of jamovi you will be using in your course.
Cheers,
Maurizio

Re: Transpose Descriptives Statistics
Hello.
I’ve literally only today discovered Jamovi and it looks awesome! No more SPSS needed.
I need to do this too, but can’t work out how, or find any guidance on the site/user manual.
Are there some more detailed instructions anywhere?
Many thanks!!

Re: Transpose Descriptives Statistics
You'll find the option to transpose the descriptives table in the descriptives of the newer version of jamovi.

Re: Transpose Descriptives Statistics
In the latest Jamovi version, there are Table options of either "Copy" or "Export" or "Add note" - but nothing to transpose the rows and columns.
For example I have 50+ items and 3 categorical variables. I simply want the 3 rows across the top as columns, and the items shown as rows.
I must be missing something really simple here? But I've read all the guidance and still stuck!
Thank you!

Re: Transpose Descriptives Statistics
Thank you Jonathon,
I definitely don't have that option!
I downloaded the recommended most recent stable version of 1.6.23.0 for Mac.
When you say "latest" version are your referring to the 2.01 then? Is this the issue?
Any reason why I can't go for 2.01? .... being new to this I just did what I was told upon discovering your amazing product!

Re: Transpose Descriptives Statistics
the 2.0 series has proven quite solid, so i'd recommend using it.
