Hello all,
I have been using Jamovi for some years now, and love it.
Unfortunately, the module manager is becoming entirely unwieldy, as the list of available/installed modules increases.
I often spend 2 mins+ searching for a single module in my list, that I would like to uninstall.
This is compounded by 3 factors:
1) Modules are not listed in alphabetical order
2) "Available" modules list is cluttered by already installed modules, making searches for new/recently available modules EXTREMELY frustrating
3) The module manager window itself is VERY small, and cannot be click-drag-expanded like a typical window.
AS SUCH:
I desperately request the following...
1) Please, please, please add a "sort by date" and "sort by character" option at the top.
2) Please, please have a "hide already installed modules" checkbox in the manager, under the "Available" tab
3) Less urgent, but still helpful—Please allow the module window to be expanded, or at least give it a somewhat larger area.
Thank you!!
Otherwise, I love using this software.

Suggestion: Fix/improve module manager
Re: Suggestion: Fix/improve module manager
hey, yeah, i hear you.
a search facility with tags would be great too.
it's the eternal challenge of lots to do, and not enough time.
cheers

Re: Suggestion: Fix/improve module manager
Thank you Jonothan.
In the meantime, is there anything that can be done?
I am thinking a .ini hack to expand the default size of the window would already help a lot.
Additionally, a .ini hack which hides already installed modules.
Now that I think about it, modules could be listed by alphabetical order by default, and I am sure nobody would complain about this. This would not even require any changes to the GUI, it could just be a standard feature.
Is there any chance that we could expect something like this in coming releases?

Re: Suggestion: Fix/improve module manager
I second the suggestions provided by hayaku above.
A facility to search for (or atleast sort) modules may become a necessity as the number of modules continue to grow.
Hope the team gets enough time to incorporate these.
Again, thanks for the great product (service) that Jamovi is.
