Linear and non-linear generalized mixed modeling

Post by imacodfish »

Hi jamovi people!

I'm interested in doing generalized mixed modeling with a dichotomous outcome. In some situations I'll be able to use linear modeling so plan to use jamovi's gamlj module (the Generalized Mixed Model function). For other situations I'll need to do non-linear GMM and I'm curious how much I'll be able to do in jamovi vs need to go to another platform. As far as I can tell jamovi does not have explicit capabilities for non-linear regression or non-linear GMM via modules in the library. Is this correct? If so, is it possible to use Rj or another module in jamovi to run R code for non-linear GMM?

Thanks for you thoughts.

Yes, you can use Rj for analyses that are not present in jamovi modules. What kind of non-linear model are you interested in?
