import data from R packages

Post by superyms »

Hi,

some R packages, contain interesting data sets that could be used to demonstrate or teach statistics using R/Jamovi, there are some times dedicated packages that include only data sets like datasets package.

i wonder to know if you could in the future let import data from this packages?
for example in outbreaks a compilation of disease outbreak data : http://www.repidemicsconsortium.org/outbreaks/

it would be nice to have an import data from R packages where we could write : data(package="outbreaks"), then a window propose us a list of available datasets and we could check those to be imported?
we could imagine that beside examples data we coud have an new category, imported data, where the csv files imported are saved ready for a next usage.

i hope this would not be so complicated to be done ':)

best.

yeah, we definitely should make it easier to access example data sets.

i'll give it some thought.
