Prediction of new observations?

Post by earmijo »

Hi there,

Suppose I have new observations and I would like to predict what values they will take according to a recently run regression. How do I do that in Jamovi? Is it possible? (I'm thinking of course on the equivalent to the predict function in R.

hi,

not super-conveniently.

you could take the co-efficients from the regression, and recreate the formula using the computed variables system.

let me know if you need me to elaborate.

Thanks jonathon. That's what I was afraid of. No need to elaborate.

we will add a 'save residuals', 'save predicted values', thing at some point. (i assume that's the sort of feature you're chasing).

It very important to add new observations to the model

Recreate the formula using the computed variables system is time consuming.

This would be especially handy for standard curves and interpolating the data. I would love this feature.

I just discovered that this feature has been added! Thank you! :grinning:
