ARM version of jamovi

Post by dr_Primus »

Hello guys

I am thinking about buying a new laptop, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx seems like a good idea because of battery life improvements compared to x86/x64.

I wanted to know if there will be an ARM version of jamovi in the future

Thanks

the flatpak provides an ARM version of jamovi for linux/chromeOS - however, a number of the modules from the jamovi library will not be compatible with it. that's something i've been meaning to work on.

for windows, we'd need the good folks of CRAN to publish a version of R + build toolchain before we could support it on arm.

cheers

Okay. Thanks. I guess it’s Still too early to go ARM route on Windows.

Well... Haven’t really dug deeper into R... My bad :grimacing:
For my needs jamovi is perfect and I only use R for things that can not be achieved in jamovi at the moment (such as pROC package for ROC comparison and youden index calculation)
