using a continuous variable as factor?

Post by JanetB. »

Hi all,

Just started Jamovi this week and I'm very impressed with it ! Just one question at this moment: I'm trying to run a multilevel regression analysis and want to add a continuous variable as factor. This doesn't seem to work however: I can't drag the variable to the factors-box. What am I doing wrong?

hi,

i'm not 100% sure what you're trying to do, but i'd suggest that

a) if you want to treat your continuous variable as a factor, then change it to a factor, and you will be able to assign it as a factor
b) if you want to treat your continuous variable as a covariate, then assign it to the covariates box
