Issue sideloading modules

Post by octopusfriend »

Hello!

For security purposes, the network at the company I work can't be opened to download Jamovi modules via the Modules "storefront". We can however manually download them.
jamovi - installed correctly.PNG[/attachment When we try to sideload modules, we get the message "Module installed successfully." [attachment=0]jamovi - installed modules.PNG
However, when we enter the Manage Modules section, we get the error that the installed version is incompatible - but this is with EVERY module we try to install. Do they have any contact to the internet when installing/sideloading? Would anything be possibly blocking the sideloading? We've updated Jamovi to the newest version to no avail.

Alternatively, do you know what ports are used for installing the modules? We might be able to free those up instead of a blanket opening.

I hope you can help us out a bit!

Many thanks,
David

Thank you so much, that works! :grinning:

It might be an idea to add a quick note on https://www.jamovi.org/library.html mentioning that sideloading only works with the solid version!

Many thanks!
