Copy paste / duplicate variable name+description+levels

Hello,

i am a starter in statistics and using of Jamovi, hope my question car be understandable.

For a student exercise, i have to treat a lot of data from a xls file.

Some of this datas are series of questions with big similarities. Same levels, small differences in name and description.
Some screen to illustrate what i mean :

ex Q1.1

as you can see upside, there are lot of similarities between q1.1 and q1.2
And this is the same for q1.3 4 5...
And, more, the same for Q2 Q3 Q4...
So i would like to start to configure one variable, and duplicate it a lot of time. After what i can just modify what is necessary to modify.
Do you see what i mean ?

But i am not able to do this. the better i succeed was to copy name of variable. But when i try copy paste on columns, i can copy paste the datas below, but not the description and levels of the variable.

I hope it is possible, but can't find how to do it.

I must say i use Jamovi 2.2.2 on Ubuntu 18.04 and i have also PSPPIRE installed (maybe that can help ? But i never used this soft, just installed it because the professor tells he used to work with this one)

hi,

you may find it easier to select multiple variables, and set up the levels across all of them at once. see the following screenshot. will that do what you need?

i have tried this way to select multiple variable before my post (i forgot to tell about it), but when i click « + » to add a level,
i have the pop up window with text area / and the 2 buttons OK / Cancel.
I can type text in text area.
But the 2 buttons Ok / Cancel seems not to work.
Nothing happens when i click on it and Jamovi is freezed. So i have to quit Jamovi.

On your side, is this possible to add levels when multi variable selected ?
If yes, i think there is a bug on my side.

Was i really the first to try using add level for multiple variable ?

no, it's quite a marginal problem. i think it only occurs when you manually add levels when there are zero existing levels (which isn't that common).

Oh, ok, i see. Maybe my using of Jamovi is not very usual, that is true.
I am the element of randomness !
