Re: no number on right side of levels
when you open a blank file, there is the a,b,c header. when you double click on the header, the data variable pops up. the levels dont have numbers on the right side.
lets say you type in car for a1 cell, and bus for a2 cell. in the data variable levels, it only have car on the left and no number on the right. same with bus.
normally it supposed to be (car 1) and (bus 2)
thanks

Re: no number on right side of levels
hi,
so generally speaking, the number isn't important for variables with levels like 'car' or 'bus', so i don't think you need to worry about the number.
but if you *do* really want to assign a number, then type '1' into the a1 cell, '2' into the a2 cell, and then double click on the variable header, and enter the labels 'car' and 'bus' into each.
make sense?
