hi xxming,

so i haven't been able to reproduce this here, but what has been common to the few people who have had this issue is that they have a lot of stuff in their 'PATH', and you're no exception. obviously jamovi needs to be robust to this sort of thing, and we're keen to fix it, but if you're comfortable changing system settings, you could (temporarily) change the PATH to something much simpler, and see if that works.

that would pin-point where the issue is.

with thanks

another thing you could try, is copying the vcruntime140.dll from the bin/ directory, into the Resources/lib directory, and see if that fixes it.

hmm, this is a tricky one. let me think about it.

at a guess, it's some sort of dll leakage issue, but it's hard to diagnose remotely.

sorry for the inconvenience. the new 0.7.2.2 fixes the issue:

it hurts a bit when your shiny new release doesn't work as expected!
