Data imported successfully, but Regression cannot load them

Post by maresj »

Dear Jamovi team and users,

first of all thank you for producing such a great software. It really makes research and life easier :)

I have successfully imported a former SPSS (.sav) dataset. It seems I can get the descriptive statistics run without a problem. But when I attempt to run a Regression I get this error:
logRegMulti

Error in base::`Encoding<-`(`*tmp*`, value = "UTF-8") :
a character vector argument expected
Could you please help me how to adjust my dataset so that Jamovi is able to work with it? Must be some characters coding. In SPSS the data works well. It is actually a widely used EWCS dataset (https://www.eurofound.europa.eu/surveys ... ns-surveys).

Thank you in advance.

hi,

i'm pretty sure you can just ignore that error. once you begin assigning variables to the options, the analysis will run normally. i've fixed that issue recently, and you won't have this problem in a future version.

cheers
