For missing values, I have selected the columns i want, and typed == '-99' where it says missing values, but the missing value cells are remaiining empty and not filled with the missing value. I know the missing value should appear in grey in the cells taht have no numbers, but I am not having that and the cells are remaining empty. What should i do to make them grey and filled with -99 ?

the missing values work differently to that ... some software fills missing values with a value, such as -99, and its necessary to tell jamovi that the -99s should be treated as missing values, rather than -99.
i'm not really sure why you would want to go the other way, but you could recode the columns, into a new column, transform the missing values into -99.

of course, i'd probably wonder if you *really* needed to fill these values with -99 ... as most software, these days, copes with missing values just fine, and it may not be necessary.
