Jamovi gives 'Errno 2' and fails to open when '&' is in path

Post by TheRealJasp »

I think that I've got to the bottom of a [Errno 2] problem.

When I open a specific .omv file by double-clicking, Jamovi opens but the file doesn't. Instead I get an error message 'Unable to Open [Errno 2]'. The file opens if it is first moved to the Desktop, so not a bad .omv file.

It is nested 9 deep; but if I created a new series of nested folders (Untitled, Untitled 1, etc) the .omv file opens. So it's not a limitation on the path length, either.

The file is nested in subfolders whose names include: 💃️, 🏭, π, ·, -, and &. I systematically tried each of these non-text characters in my Untitled folder nest and the culprit was &. The .omv file opened with all other types.

I don't really know how this works but is it possible for '&' to be added as a legitimate path component? TIA!
