Multilevel modelling: center leve 2 predictors

Hi everyone,

I am new to Jamovi and multilevel modelling, currently using Gamjl for MLM analyses. I am unsure if Jamovi automatically adds group means of level 1 predictors into models at level 2, and grand mean center continuous variables at level 2 (as suggested by my supervisor).

Any insight will be appreciated!

That would be a very strange default setting. By default all continuous variables are grand mean centered. You can choose "centered clusterwise" in the "covariates scaling" panel if you want to center level 1 predictors at group means.
