Hi,
I'm trying snowCluster (7.1.7) k-means, but I can't get it to produce the optimal number of clusters chart. The blue wheel keeps spinning.
I'm running jamovi 2.3.28 in MacOS 14.4.1
Any experience to share? Any idea how to make it work?
Thanks!

Re: snowCluster k-means optimal number of clusters not working
Hi chris
you have to update the latest version of jamovi(current version) and snowCluster module(ver.7.3.1) in jamovi library.
Kind Regards

Re: snowCluster k-means optimal number of clusters not working
Hi Seol,
Thank you very much for your quick reply. I couldn't respond earlier because my account was deactivated for a few days after I changed my email address in the system.
Eventually, without updating and after a very long time spinning the wheel, snowCluster managed to create the optimal number of clusters chart. Then I updated both jamovi and snowCluster hoping for a swifter process but it is still very, very long (like 10-15 minutes). I tried on a Windows PC and got the same situation. Is it expected in general?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi chris
I don't think so. Probably, It depnds on sample size, the number of cluster size, specifically, your computer environment, etc. What version of jamovi and snowCluster module are you using?

Hi chris
Could you share .omv file that causes errors?

Re: snowCluster k-means optimal number of clusters not working
Hi Seol,
I have more than 10k observations on 28 variables. I suppose this is the reason, although everything else is fast. I'll send you the .omv file via pm if you still want to look.
Thanks,
Chris
