Issues with adding a missing value

I am trying to setup my data for missing values.
In this case missing value = 9 for my column.
However when I add ‘missing value == 9’ and click return the value is not changed to missing and remains as 9.

hi,

i think you'll find that it is still treated as a missing value in analyses. there should be a slight change in the way the value appears, to indicate that its being treated as a missing value, but the value will still be visible.

let us know if this isn't the case.

No sadly in analyses it doesn’t come up as missing. And when I press enter / return the ‘missing value’ box is empty. Also the value doesn’t appear any different in its row

Hi Jonathon

I have followed these exact steps but still no luck.
I use source == ‘number’ and then enter or click out of the box and press the up/ close arrow - at this point the missing value box remains empty and if I click back into it any value I added has disappeared.

I am using Jamovi cloud on iPad if that makes a difference? Thanks
