great job and some feature requests :)

Post by kurgy »

Thanks, for this software.
From the next semester, I will use Jamovi for lecturing statistics for 1st year students of psychology.
I have worked with spss until this day, but it is too expensive for the students to use.
So thanks again.
And here comes my suggestions:
It would be very useful, if the test of normality of a variable could be reached in the exploration thing.
I think this is one of the most important issue in experiments of psychology, if the variable has normal distribution or not.
I know, that using t-test, under the checking assumption option, we can do it, but it would be helpful, if we could reach this option via exploration.
And another thing: saving residual data after linear regression into a new variable.
What do you think about it?

Thanx for the reply, and keep up this very good work.

Best regards,
Robert, from Hungary

hi,

yup, i've been meaning to add the normality test to the descriptives:

https://github.com/jamovi/jamovi/issues/453

and yup, saving residuals is something we plan on adding in the next few months (but it requires some architectural changes).

cheers, and thanks for getting in touch

In the meantime, can you add the name of the dependent variable in linear regression results? Thaks!
