Internation Team for Jamovi?

Post by chunnam »

Hello,

It 's my first time to post a topic here. I am an undergraduate (the fourth year) majoring in Statistics in China. I always recommend Jamovi to my friends from various backgrounds without reservation. However, Jamovi hasn't had its Chinese version so that they may come across quite a few difficulties with the unfamiliar language.

So I am wondering if Jamovi has its international team? I would like to help with the translation of the software's interface and related documents.

Really appreciate your good jobs!

Best wishes,
Chunnam Ng

hi chunnam,

yes, we're keen to translate jamovi into different languages, however before we do that, we need to go through jamovi and create a central file where it takes all of its translation data from. unfortunately, this is a big job. so we can't translate just yet unfortunately.

hopefully something we can do in the not-too-distant future.

cheers

Hopefully, something I can do to help with the translation of the software's interface and related documents into korean. ^^

Oh, recently I wrote the introductory book named with 'Statistical Analysis with jamovi' and best seller in Korea.

awesome. do you have a 'landing page' for your book? that link looks to be to your profile page which *includes* your book, but it would be better if you could provide a dedicated link *to* the book.

with thanks

Hi

Thanks for your quick reply ^^

This book was written by Korean and only available for the following site:

and the English name of this book is "Statistical Analysis with jamovi" written by Hyunsoo Seol.

and do you have any plan to held a workshop regarding jamovi module development this year?
if possible, I hope to participate in a workshop ^^

OK, i've added it, but it might make more sense to have the title and description in korean?

can you send me something i can copy paste?

yes, another jamovi workshop seems like a good idea. i'll see what we can figure out.

with thanks

Hi

the brief description of a book is as follows;

"A comprehensive statistical textbook for undergraduate and graduate program, and provides step-by-step instructions on how to conduct analyses in jamovi"

Is it Ok?

Thanks for your kind considerations again. ^^

Best Regards
