Server error when trying to run Jamovi

Post by Lady Walrus »

Hi,

I hope you're doing well!

I've seen some discussion regarding Jamovi not running on certain computers (especially those operated by Windows), so I was wondering if there was some solution to that, as my computer is, unfortunately, one of those with the bug (I tried both 1.6.15 and 1.6.15, with my actual location, UK, and changing my location via VPN - but still get it)?

The message I get is:
"Unfortunately, the jamovi server could not be started, and jamovi must now close. We regret the inconvenience.

Please report your experiences to the jamovi team."

Any help would be appreciated as I'd reaaaally like to start utilizing jamovi for my analyses :)

Thanks in advance!
Kind regards.

this is an issue that only affects around 1 in 500 users, unfortunately that includes you.

you might have to use the cloud version:

Hello,
I have exactly the same problem with Jamovi. However, I don't know how to use the cloud version (how to import my data). I tried to copy paste but it didn't work.

Thanks in advance!
Best regards.
