Meta-analysis for Prevalences

Post by Baumisf »

Dear all,

I am new to Jamovi. I want to conduct a meta-analysis and calculated the "prevalence" of a certain foot deformity. We got about 30 studies included and the values we have for each study are mean angle +/- SD. I have tried RevMan but it did not work. Do you konw of any tutorial or can you assissed on how to do this type of meta-analysis in Jamovi?

THANKS for your help!

Cheers,
Sebastian

Hey Sebastian,
if you are looking for meta-analysis of prevalence, it means proportions.
From jamovi library you can install the MAJOR module which can do this.
For the analysis you need to know the "Frequencies of the Event" (which will be the numerator) and the "Total Sample Sizes" (which will be the denominator) of each study.

Cheers,
Maurizio
