Hi,
Jamovi 0.7.2.1 appears to install ok on my Windows 10 PC, but when I try to start it, I get a "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher" error. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
[SOLVED] jamovi 0.7.2.1 won't open on Win 10 PC

Something similar happens to me. I downloaded the installer, clicked it, it seems that the software is loading, but nothing happens...
Later I tried downloading and extracting the .zip file, but once I try to execute the app, samething, seems to be loading, but to no avail.
My system is also Win 10.

hi coronal,
can you check that your computer is 64-bit, and not 32-bit? we don't provide a 32-bit version at present.
with thanks

Ah, my PC is indeed 32-bit - that must be the issue. Sorry I didn't realise jamovi required 64-bit. Thanks anyway!
Re: jamovi 0.7.2.1 won't open on Win 10 PC
no worries. we've added a check to the installer, so it will tell you at install time.
hopefully we'll be able to support 32-bit in the future.

Do you have a plan to release 32 bit version? We are really waiting 32 bit version. ^^
Re: jamovi 0.7.2.1 won't open on Win 10 PC
hi seol,
unfortunately not. at the moment we're focused on implementing all the features for a 1.0 release. it might be possible to provide a 32-bit version in the future, but the more time goes on, the more and more marginalized 32-bit installations become.
for us to add 32-bit support, it would probably require someone financially sponsoring its development.
sorry i haven't better news
