Different results for ANOVA after turning filter on and off

Post by Freya »

I was teaching ANOVAs when my students told me that they got completely different results from me with the same analysis for the same dataset. I have now figured out that the results change when activating and deactivating filters (any). See the pictures below. I attached the jamovi file. Any help would be much appreciated, because the differences are substantial.

the transforms in the columns `CA01_03 - R` and `CA01_04 - E` haven't applied correctly - i'm not sure why this is. toggling the filter triggers the recalculation of these transforms, and they update to their correct values.

i'll need to spend more time digging into it.

again, thanks for reporting.

Thanks for the quick response. Until you find out exactly how and why, and how to fix it, could you possibly tell me which one of the analyses is the correct one, i.e. with the transformations applied correctly? Would help with interpreting the results in class. ;)

Thanks so much.

the result after the filter has been toggled is the correct one.

hey there,
first of all, thanks again. I was wondering if you ever found the reason for this? Should the transforms be named or set differently to avoid it or have you resolved the potential issue of this type of error in the new version(s) of jamovi?
