Two-way ANOVA - Post-Hoc Test

Post by ClaireCups »

Hi everyone,
I have a question about interpreting the post-hoc test of the two-way ANOVA in Jamovi.
In my study, one of the two independent variables is statistically significant, and also, the interaction between the two independent variables is significant.
I don't understand why in Jamovi, two double columns appear. How should I interpret this table?

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can provide! I'm eager to learn more about this topic and appreciate any insights you can share.

It's not clear to me what you mean by "two double columns."

Hi reason180,
If my independent variables are "A" and "B", four columns appear in my post-hoc table:
A | B - A | B

I think those columns refer to the differences between the two grouping variables and their interaction, maybe?
I don't know how to interpret all the results, though :-.

In the post-hoc test output table:

Row 1 refers to the comparison between Campus A students and Campus A faculty.
Row 2 refers to the comparison between Campus A students and Campus B students.
Row 3 refers to the comparison between Campus A students and Campus B faculty.
Row 4 refers to the comparison between Campus A faculty and Campus B students.
Row 5 refers to the comparison between Campus A faculty and Campus B faculty.
Row 6 refers to the comparison between Campus B students and Campus B faculty.
