We are also using jamovi in the Department of Psychology at Bishop's University, in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We transitioned from SPSS to jamovi starting in 2019 and have used it exclusively since 2020. During the transition year, I demonstrated the use of both programs for every problem; the students almost immediately found jamovi to be far superior and by the end of the year only 1 student still preferred SPSS. The only slight problem for us has been getting research supervisors to learn to use it, so sometimes honours students find themselves having to figure out SPSS just because that's what their supervisor wants.

Dear Jonathon,

First of all, thank you very much for the great program Jamovi; it's an excellent tool for teaching and learning statistics.

I'm happy to share that we are using jamovi in our Master's in Statistics program at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University in Turkey. Thanks to its user-friendly interface and powerful analysis capabilities, it has been very helpful for both students and instructors.

Thanks again for your great work!

Before Jamovi, I was solving statistical problems in R, but this hindered my interaction with students (Chita State Medical Academy, Russia), since programming is generally not available to medical students. Now I have a teaching tool that brings analytics from R into the hands of students who are not experienced in programming. Thank you!

🧭 How This Helps You
For Australian persuading, emphasize: UNE, Newcastle, Tasmania, UNSW have successfully integrated jamovi into large undergrad programs.

For international credibility, point to adoption in the USA, UK, Costa Rica, France, and more as part of those 300+ universities.

💡 Next Steps
You might propose adding an official “Jamovi Users” page that community contributors can update—collecting names, courses taught, and links.

Consider reaching out via the jamovi forum or mailing list to gather more institutions (especially ones that may not show up in analytics).

Maybe draft a short Google Form for educators to submit their jamovi usage for future listing.
