Server message & jamovi quitting unexpectedly

I am having quite a few problems with jamovi today. It first began when trying to open an existing dataset and jamovi would quit unexpectedly, freeze, and/or showed a blank screen. After quite a few tries, I then decided to try updating my version (I last updated my version in early January). As instructed, I downloaded the 1.2x series because I am using Mac OS Catalina.

After downloading and installing the updated version, I'm still having problems. Along with the program quitting several times, now I am also getting a "server message" (see attached image). When I click "close" in the message box, jamovi abruptly quits.

Help please!

hi, can you run jamovi at the terminal, and see if any error messages are produced?

you can run it with the command /Applications/jamovi.app/Contents/MacOS/jamovi
