I would like to know if there is any way to use italic font in variable and group names in plots and tables?

I'm trying to generate figures for both my thesis and a scientific paper in molecular biology field. Gene names are required to be written in italic, that's the reason.

yeah ok. tables you can easily change in your word processor of choice. plots are a bit trickier. plot editing is on our todo list.
