hello there,

please help. i cannot open this sav file from global entrep monitor (GEM). Im wondering if the file is too large. Please help. I will be doing my dissertation based on this GEM data. thank you very much.

i read the other post, and the author said to copy the file so it could be checked by him. How do i paste the file in this post?

Jamovi v1.6.3 loads it without problems.
I am attaching your file. sav in .omv for a good thesis. Best regards.

Dear MAgojam and Jonathon,

I downloaded the latest version 1.6.3. I was able to open the sav file converted to omv for me by MAgojam.

Unfortunately, i still cannot open the other SAV file.

Can I ask MAgojam, if you do not mind , if you can convert for me too this other file from GEM. This file is bigger. If not, can you just teach me how to convert SAV file to OMV file. thanks a lot again.

Unfortunately, the other GEM file is too big, cannot be uploaded here.

Hi Jonathon,

Good day to you. I downloaded the latest version of Jamovi 1.6.3. But still I cannot open the SAV file from GEM. Message says "utf 8, codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 69: unexpected end of data".....

hi enrico,

it looks like the .sav importer for the windows version of jamovi hasn't been updated. the next version we push out will have this fixed.
