Hello :
I just find the new structural equation modeling module and give it a try. I test a very simple model. But the system kept telling me that "lavaan error, please refit the model with test=standard"
could you please know me know what went wrong here?
I attach the file here
Thanks

Re: SEM error
Hi, @ alancai1974.
Select all your variables and with Data>Setup>Measure type pass them from Nominal to Continuos.
Cheers,
Maurizio

Re: SEM error
Thank you very much. Now it's working. just have 3 more questions:
1. Is there a way to get average variance extracted (AVE)? This is an important measure for structural equation modeling.
2. Is it possible to do formative model here? I know that this could be constructed by using Iavaan, but the SEM module does not seem to have this option.
3. Is it possible to do a path analysis? (i.e., no latent variables. Just a path model between the variables)?
Thanks

Re: SEM error
Hi, as regards the path analysis, you have three options in jamovi:
1) you can use PATHj module, which is explicitly built for path analysis models
2) you can use SEMLj syntax and define your path model with lavaan syntax
3) you can use SEMLj interactive, set one indicator for each latent variable, and define your path model on the latent variables
All three methods give the same results. Method 1 vs 2-3 would offer you different options, so check out which method is more convenient for your analysis

Re: SEM error
As regards point 2, at the moment (in this version) is not possible to define formative latent variables

Re: SEM error
The next version (0.3.0) due in a few days will allow for formative models in the (syntax) submodule. It'll accept the `<-` operator of lavaan for that
Thanks for the suggestion, we did not think about it before

Re: SEM error
yes, it was due to greek letters in the columns titles not hadled by windows. It has been fixed jot (1.1.5)
