I created 3 variables in Jamovi- height, weight, gender. I computed a variable 'BMI' to give the results of weight/height^2. I categorized the BMI using a new variable BMI cat. After that i am not able to enter or edit data anywhere. Kindly assist.

i'm not sure exactly what you mean here, but you can't edit computed variables ... because their values are computed from elsewhere ... if you want to update them, you can change the formula.

I have edited the post. Kindly look into it. The editing is not possible anywhere in the sheet only if i create a transformed variable.

Dear Jonathan, what i mean is that i am not able to edit the data or add data in columns other than that of the transformed or computed variables as well. It's like the spreadsheet gets locked.

Yes, the same problem happens in both 1.623 and 2.000. And no error is thrown.

if you reopen the a.omv file, does it become editable again?

i assume the cloud version isn't affected?

Jonathon, just to help understand.

I downloaded the @yashalokv file and opened it, added and modified variables and saved with jamovi 2.0.0 both under win10 and Ubuntu 20.04.03 without encountering the reported problems.
