Feature requests: R syntax 4 entire file/computed variables

Hi,

Apologies if this was requested somewhere else.

Our students did a very good job with JAMOVI, but when we submit to the journals we take all their code and move it to R syntax. JAMOVI is wonderful in that it allows for that.

However, unless I'm missing something, if their analyses rely on computed variables, we need to redo computed variables, and moving from JAMOVI to R isn't easy.

Simple request:
Can you please export the computed variables R code just like you do with analyses R syntax?

Advanced request:
In general, it would be wonderful if one could simply take a JAMOVI file and be able to export everything needed from that JAMOVI file to R syntax beginning to end, this includes: computed/transformed variables, analyses, filters, etc.. Possible? The more you can implement the easiest it would be for us to use JAMOVI as a gateway for R and making JAMOVI more reproducible.

Any help here would be very much appreciated.

hi gilad,

yeah, good suggestion. it is a fair amount of work though, and not a super-high priority unfortunately.

cheers

@gilad So why not just submit the jamovi omv file to the journal, instead of submitting R syntax? (Submitting the R syntax makes it difficult for people to reproduce the jamovi analyses that you report, whereas submitting the jamovi file supports reproduction via simply opening the jmv file.)
