scattr package in JAMOVI cant be altered in R

Hi
I was using the scattr package in R to make a scatter plot with marginal densities on the side, as is available in JAMOVI. i am unable to edit the colour palette e.g. using scale_fill_brewer, or change the axis names of the plot, is this due to the package not allowing any color changes apart from the default?
On Jamovi I am able to edit the theme for the scatter plot to blues, greys etc, is there a reason I am unable to do so on R?
