Different Significance values for simple correlation between Mplus and Jamovi:

Post by Joel »

Hey Everyone,

Was running the same linear regression between two continuous variables on Jamovi and Mplus and I noticed the significance values between were quite different (i.e., the r-values were identical but the P-value was approx. 0.02 different). Just wondering if there's some difference in how these statistical programmes calculate this value which explains this discrepancy?

Cheers,
Joel

not to my knowledge ... a way forward might be to reproduce the same result in the correlation matrix in jamovi ... that makes use of the cor.test() function from R. you'll probably have more success googling/duckduckgo'ing differences between mplus and R.

cheers
