one way ANOVA graph

Hello,
In one-way Anova, can we expect the points indicating the averages in the graph to be connected by a line? This absence of a line between groups means is annoying when students are shown two-way Anova graphs with points connected by lines. This would be more coherent. Thanks in advance.
