Hello,

Is there a way to disable the automatic spell checking in the jamovi notes (Edit menu) ? The program uses English as the default language, so when the user is not using English for the notes, everything is underlined in red. Even when the interface language is changed, that does not change the behavior.

ah, thanks for letting us know about this ... how about, rather than removing the spellcheck, instead we make the spellcheck honour the language settings?

...Thinking about it, it would still be really useful to have the option to disable the spell check. For instance, I am using the English interface for teaching my course because I rely on https://www.learnstatswithjamovi.com/ for the readings / tutorials. Therefore, even if my student are French-speaking, they use the English interface in order to follow the tutorials, but will annotate the results in French. That situation is common in non-English speaking countries, because there are a lot more of quality resources about jamovi in English (especially for advanced statistical procedures). I think that use case is relevant for many other countries.
