Dear colleagues,
I tried to update the version of Jamovi that I used before (2.3.28.0) to current version 2.6.25, but got an error message. This happened both when I used the installation file and pre-installed zip version. I use the Windows 7. My colleagues who use Windows 10 succseeded to install 2.6.25. Is there any solution to the problem? Thank you in advance for your help.
Cannot install Jamovi 2.6.25 in Windows 7
Re: Cannot install Jamovi 2.6.25 in Windows 7
could you share the error message?
i suspect the jamovi 2.6 series won't be compatible with windows 7.

Hi, Jonathon,
Thank you so much for your reply. Attached, please find a screenshot of the error message. It is written in Russian, so let me translate it: the message reads that the entry point to the procedure DiscardVirtual Memorywas not found in the library DLL KERNELL32.dll
I would be appreciative for your comments and help

Re: Cannot install Jamovi 2.6.25 in Windows 7
hey,
yeah, this looks as though we don't support windows 7. we use electron as our renderer, and it looks as though more recent versions of electron require windows 10 or newer. if the 2.3 series works for you, i'd suggest continue to use that, or you can use the cloud version instead:

cheers
