exporting plots from jamovi as svg files seems not to work correctly. If I open them in PPT and ungroup the items, text of the plots seems to be an image (and cannot be edited). Normally, R-plots can be exported as SVG and ppt files and after ungrouping the items of the plots in PPT (or other programs) text can be edited. Is this anything that jamovi developers can fix on the short term (paper deadline is approaching)?

our svg export relies on the svg() function from the grDevices package. it may be that we'll get better behaviour from the rsvg library, but i'd need to investigate.

in the mean time, you can use our alpha 2.7, it has the option to export as .pptx

thanks so much for the prompt reply...

is there also a macos version of the alpha release?

how risky is it to install the alpha? or when do you expext the beta or final release? are we talking about days or weeks? Always a hard decision of to install alpha versions when handling data for an important project.

i would say no riskier than a release version.
