jamovi

Hi,

Many thanks for all your efforts on Jamovi. Is there any way to get a version with the General Linear Models module pre-installed? I'd like to get Jamovi installed on our campus network student PCs, but it looks like there may be a permission issue with installing extra modules?

so jamovi looks for modules in two locations: a user location, and a system location. when a user installs a module, it gets placed in the user location... for whatever reason, it looks like your IT people have locked down the user location. but you can use the system location.

so jamovi installs to something like:

C:\Program Files\jamovi 0.9.xx

now if you take a module file (you can download them from here, https://www.jamovi.org/library.html ), they're a .jmo file, but they're really just a .zip. if you rename them to a .zip file, you'll be able to unzip them. *then* if you place them in this location:

C:\Program Files\jamovi 0.9.x.x\Resources\modules

jamovi should load them at start up. of course, this location isn't writeable by the user, and will require the IT people to do it.
