Suggestion: Adding BLRT for LPA to snowRMM (inspired by tidyLPA)

Hi Seol,
I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if it would be possible to add BLRT to the model comparison for LPA in the snowRMM module. I noticed that the new version of tidyLPA already includes it, so I thought it might be a useful addition to consider. Moreover, BLRT is now widely reported in many published studies as a key model-fit indicator, so having it available in snowRMM would make the module more aligned with current research practices.
Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion.
BLRT is already available in the latest version of snowRMM. In the LPA results, the Model Fit table reports both BLRT_val and BLRT_p for the selected number of classes. These statistics are used to compare a k-class solution with the corresponding k−1-class solution.
It is possible that you are using an earlier version of snowRMM in which these results were not yet displayed. Please update the module to the latest version and check the Model Fit table.
The Overall Model Fit table serves a different purpose. It compares different model parameterizations, such as Models 1, 2, 3, and 6, while holding the number of classes constant. For this reason, adding BLRT to that table could be misleading, since BLRT is primarily intended for comparisons across different numbers of classes rather than direct comparisons among model parameterizations.
Please let me know if the BLRT results are still not available after updating snowRMM.
Best Regards
Seol

Hi Seol,
Please accept my sincere apologies. Having used snowRMM version 6.1.3, I have now successfully located the BLRT; my previous search was not conducted within the overall fit. I also fully understand the rationale behind your placement of it there. I greatly appreciate your contribution.

Thank you for your kind message. No worries at all—I am glad that you were able to locate the BLRT under the Overall Fit results.
Because snowRMM is continuously being improved with bug fixes and updates, I recommend using the latest available version whenever possible. This will help ensure that you have access to the most stable functions and the most recent improvements.
Thank you again for your interest in snowRMM and for your valuable feedback.
Best regards,
Seol
