jamovi

Hi,

Several students and I have an annoying problem: we work on a dataset, everything run smoothly (W10, versions 0.9.2.6 or 0.9.4.2) until we save our work and try to open the .omv file. Jamovi won't do that and returns two error messages ("can't open file because it's used by another process" (even if we try just after a fresh start of the computer) and "-88 is not a valid column type".

Older omv files made with previous versions of jamovi open in a regular way.

Do you have any idea about the origin of this strange behavior?

hi, this is fixed in the 0.9.2.7, we should have a 0.9.4.4 out shortly too.

Thank you for your quick answer. I tried the new version and get a different kind of error message: "local variable 'string table' referenced before assignment". And the "-88 is not a valid ColumnType" is still here.

can you tell me about the "-88 is not a valid column type" error. when/how do i get that?

The -88 error type shows up when I try to open an omv file, along the other error message I talked about on the previous posts (bottom right of the jamovi window).

this should all be fixed in the 0.9.2.8 (although i don't completely understand the -88), or do you still get the -88 with it?
