JAMOVI crashes when running from path with Hebrew

Dear Developers,
Again I want to give my thanks to your hard work.
A colleague of mine and I have successfully implemented JAMOVI
in a statistics course this semester and our dean is very impressed.
We have run into a problem that if JAMOVI is unzipped to a path
that has a directory in a non-Left-to-Right Language like Hebrew,
JAMOVI crashes.
I was wondering if this is something that can be fixed in a future version?
Again many thanks!
David

hi david,

i think that's probably an issue with R. unfortunately i don't think there's much we can do there. unicode on windows makes for a very challenging set of problems, and R introduces a whole additional set of issues on top of that.

just to confirm, what is the crash message? and when does it occur (when jamovi starts up, or when you first run an analysis)?

we're working towards a web version of jamovi which just side-steps all of these issues.

with thanks
