Problem: copy pasting and exporting a graph

Hi, Janathon.
I accidentally noticed a problem of copy pasting and exporting a graph, I use the jamovi version 1.1.2.0 (this does not happen with the version 1.0.7 solid).
I have tried on various PCs, notebooks and desktops with SO: win10 pro ITA updated.
For example, the copy paste of the image fails in a docx, while in PoverPoint the result is unpresentable, as you can see from the following screenshot.
ScreenCapture.png
ScreenCapture.png (230.79 KiB) Viewed 7332 times
If I try to export the image in one of the 4 possible formats, I get the error message again:
Save Filed
No such key or name.

Can you help?
Thank you, as always, for your valuable contribution.

Ceers,
Maurizio

hi maurizio, thanks for reporting.

i did make some changes to the copy/paste behaviour between the 1.0 and the 1.1

what version of MS Office are you using? i'm pretty sure the issue here is MS office not handling the content properly, newer versions do the right thing, but we obviously want to work with older versions too.

i'm puzzled by the export not working though. when i try that here it works fine. does it not work in the histogram example above? (just so i know we're trying the same thing).

with thanks

I'm back Jonathon and thanks for your quick attention to the problem reported.

The MS Office is the pro 2010 (Ita-32bit), but after reading your answer I also tried Writer, Impress and Draw by LibreOffice Version: 6.2.0.3 (x64).

Copy and paste image of the graph:
The possible types of graphs made by Exploration-> Descriptive, but also by other modules (e.g., ANCOVA) in LibreOffice and PowerPoint are pasted as a non-presentable image (like screencapture.png of my Post: 51), while MS Word 2010 does not paste any image.

Option Image-> Export:
The error message reported:
Save Filed
No such key or name
is reported only for charts created in Exploration-> Descriptive, but not for those created with other modules (e.g., ANCOVA).

I remain at your disposal for any further inquiries and I cordially greet you.
Maurizio

With version 1.2.2 i get the same error !

I am the linear mixed models module and I try to export a graph --> right click --> export. No matter what type of file I select: pdf, png, eps or svg, i keep receiving the same error "No such key or name".

Can anyone else replicate the error? I wanted to attach printscreens but I received the error "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached".

hi,

could you try running jamovi at the terminal (you should find jamovi debug in the windows menu), and see if any error messages are output.

with thanks
