Re: Adjusted p-values for multiple comparisons

Dear Jonathon, thank you very much for your reply — I really appreciate your taking the time to explain the considerations. I completely understand the desire to avoid overwhelming users with too many options, and I see how keeping the interface clean and accessible is an important goal for jamovi. ...

Adjusted p-values for multiple comparisons

I’d like to suggest a possible improvement for jamovi and would be interested to hear what others think. When performing paired or independent t-tests, Mann–Whitney U tests, Wilcoxon signed-rank tests, or Kruskal–Wallis tests (especially when running multiple comparisons), it would be helpful to hav...

Re: Export as SVG or PPT

Export as SVG or PPT

Hi exporting plots from jamovi as svg files seems not to work correctly. If I open them in PPT and ungroup the items, text of the plots seems to be an image (and cannot be edited). Normally, R-plots can be exported as SVG and ppt files and after ungrouping the items of the plots in PPT (or other pro...

Re: jamovi and jasp

Dear Jonathon,
Thank you so much for your interesting clarification of Jamovi’s origin.
I wasn't aware of the SPSS option for the intercompatibility of datasets and labels between Jamovi and JASP. Thank you for the hint.
Best wishes,

Re: What does Jamovi mean?

I was wondering the same, and maybe ChatGPT’s responses are correct — but maybe not… The name jamovi doesn’t have an official acronymic meaning. According to the developers, it was chosen primarily because: • It’s short, memorable, and distinctive. • It has a friendly, modern sound. • It fits well w...

Re: Likert Plot

1. Questions regarding the module (to @vjalbi) a) When my item questions are quite long (because I want to cite them in full rather than just using “Question1” as shown in your screenshots), they get cut off in the output. Is there any way to improve or adjust this? b) Are there any short-term plan...

jamovi and jasp

As far as I have understood jamovi is an open-source statistical software with a user-friendly interface, originally forked from JASP, but developed with a stronger focus on classical (frequentist) statistics and modular extensibility, whereas JASP emphasizes Bayesian methods and follows a more cura...

Citing Jamovi

I would like to promote jamovi and cite it in the methods section of my future manuscripts. On the jamovi about page you have described how to cite jamovi: The jamovi project (2025). jamovi (Version 2.6) [Computer Software]. Retrieved from https://www.jamovi.org Is "The jamovi project" is ...
